Born in 1972 in Lisbon.

Through the decontextualization of everyday objects, Renato M Luis reflects critically - with irony and humor - on issues such as the individual and his contradictions, the contemporary consumer society or the collective identity.
​
His work extends beyond the studio, often participating in outdoor painting events and contests in Portugal and especially in Spain.
​
In parallel with his authorial work, is a painting teacher at the ‘Parque das Nações Painting Academy’ in Lisbon.
